This client was eager to add more colour to a shady foliage garden. A central garden bed was created to take advantage of the sunniest aspect. Maples, alstromerias and buxus topiary create whimsy whilst canna lilies add a bold splash of the softest pink.

This garden was dominated by large trees and tall concrete block walls. Shade loving subtropicals added a rich focal point for the living area and integrated the trees into the garden beds.

A dry, shady site now has lovely street appeal. This textural planting was achieved using our unique New Zealand natives.

Tired of drinking her morning coffee on the back steps, this home owner wanted a level, sunny spot for casual entertaining. The result is an intimate space with built-in seating and deep planter boxes that wrap around the deck. The boxes are planted with an exuberant mix of flowering perennials and vegetables.

This coastal townhouse was being prepared for sale. A subtropical style was chosen to create a lush, intimate courtyard in a previously neglected rear deck.
